This performance on 11/16/1976 preceded the release of their Hotel California album by only 3 weeks (released 12/8/1976). This set featured 2 new songs from that album and many earlier Eagles hits, along with Joe Walsh's Rocky Mountain Way and 3 James Gang songs (Turn to Stone, Funk #49 & Walk Away). Joe Walsh had joined the Eagles the year before, after founding member Bernie Leadon left.
This concert happened on Glenn Frey's birthday. Singer-songwriter J.D. Souther makes a guest appearance on The Best of My Love*.
