Fleetwood Mac - 1970 January 01 - The Warehouse - New Orleans, LA

Live performance by Fleetwood Mac with Peter Green at the Warehouse in New Orleans LA, in January 1970. The concert on 1/30/70 was broadcast on WJMR FM, New Orleans LA. Fleetwood Mac opened for the Grateful Dead for 2 shows. This recording captures the event with surprisingly good quality for a 50 year old tape from a venue that was a converted warehouse.

Peter Green left Fleetwood Mac in May of that year, after taking LSD at a party at a commune in Munich in March. He slipped into depression and anonymity for several years, before his solo comeback in 1979.

This is commentary about Fleetwoods show:
“ they simply stunned everyone. Peter green was wearing a thick white robe and looked like Jesus. He seemed to be in a trance during his solos as he closed his eyes and tilted his head. The interplay between Green and Danny Kerwin was phenomenal, and Mick Fleetwood was going insane with his eyeballs popping out as he failed at the drums with all his might. The energy during their set was explosive.”
